A WELCOMING CORNER OF YOUR OWN

Stove character. A new way to glow.

Mapleton room setting

Mapleton gives the room the familiar outline of a stove, with a cast-iron door and top panel framing the Optimyst® display. The included log set creates a natural focal point without stocking wood or connecting a gas supply.

Water vapor and light create the flame illusion. Add adjustable crackling sound when you want a fuller sensory experience, or turn it down for a quieter evening.

SEE THE FLAME IN MOTION

See Mapleton come to life.

Watch the Mapleton water-vapor flame and log presentation. Use the installation and care sections to plan the space around the stove, including the access needed for refilling.

LOOK BEYOND THE DOOR

Designed around the flame—and everyday access.

Mapleton Door Open Right

The door opens to the log and water components used in normal ownership. Refilling is part of using the stove: open the door, remove the logs as directed and access the water container. A location that keeps this routine comfortable is worth planning from the start.

The tank avoids a permanent plumbing connection. Use clean tap water; filtered water is recommended in hard-water areas. Refill intervals vary with the flame setting, so choose the placement for easy access rather than an assumed all-day runtime.

YOUR EVENING. YOUR SETTINGS.

Fine-tune the glow before you settle in.

Mapleton Remote

Six flame-intensity levels let you adjust the visual effect. Crackling sound has five volume settings plus off, while high and low heat options give you a separate choice about room warmth.

The remote also supports scheduled heating, with four daily time slots that can be customized by day of the week. A runback timer offers preset shutoff intervals. Set the remote’s date and time before using the schedule.

A LITTLE CARE. MANY MORE EVENINGS.

Make room for the simple routines.

Mapleton Log Box

Regular care includes the water tank, sump, transducer and air filter. The supplied brush helps with cleaning; follow the manual’s specific methods for the different components rather than treating every surface the same.

Disconnect power and allow the heater to cool before maintenance. Drain the sump and tank before moving or laying the stove on its back, and keep the air intake and heater grille clear of accumulated dust.

MEASURE ONCE. ENJOY FOR YEARS.

Choose a place you’ll enjoy using.

Mapleton dimensions from the installation guide
MPT-LS-AM manufacturer drawing. Opening, airflow and service requirements are separate from overall dimensions.

Plan a level location with room to open the door and reach the refillable tank. The installation guide’s dimension drawing and the specified front clearance should guide placement; a room photograph is not a clearance diagram.

A flue-style finish is optional

The optional collar is a separate accessory that accommodates a six-inch flue-style connection. It does not turn the electric stove into a combustion appliance, and a chimney pictured in a setting is not included equipment.

Keep refill access practical

Do not place furniture, curtains or other obstructions in the required front clearance. Leave enough working room for water care and connect to the outlet specified in the manual.

GOOD QUESTIONS. USEFUL ANSWERS.

Let’s get your project right.

Does Mapleton need a water line?

No. Mapleton uses a refillable tank rather than a plumbing connection. The tank is reached through the door after removing the logs as directed. Leave room for that routine when choosing where the stove will stand.

How often will I need to refill it?

The interval depends on the flame setting and actual use. Plan for regular refilling and easy access instead of treating a marketing runtime estimate as a guarantee. Use the tank-filling procedure and water guidance in the installation and user guide.

What water should I use?

Use normal clean tap water. In hard-water areas the manual recommends filtered water to reduce scale buildup, together with regular maintenance. Unfiltered well water or another unmonitored supply is not recommended.

Can I use the flame without adding heat?

Yes. Flame and heat are independently controlled, so you can enjoy the vapor display with the heater off. The heater also has high and low settings. Adjust warmth separately from flame intensity when the room already feels comfortable.

Can I lower or switch off the crackling sound?

Yes. The remote offers five crackling-volume settings and an off option. The manual controls also support switching the sound on or off. Sound is an effect accompanying the water-vapor display, not an indication that fuel is burning.

Does the flue shown in some photographs come with the stove?

The flue collar is an optional, separately sold accessory. The installation guide describes a collar for a six-inch flue-style connection. The electric stove does not become a wood-burning appliance, and a styled photograph does not mean that the collar or flue is included.

What clearance should I leave in front?

The manual specifies one metre, or three feet, from furniture, overhanging curtains and other obstructions in front. You also need practical access to open the door and refill the water tank. Assess both clearance and routine access before choosing the final spot.

Can the stove turn heat on and off to a schedule?

The remote supports four time slots each day, customizable by day of the week. Set its date and time first. The separate runback timer offers preset shutoff intervals; choose the function that suits the routine you want.

How should I prepare it before moving it?

Disconnect power and drain the water tank and sump before moving the stove or laying it on its back. Water left inside can spill onto electronics. Follow the handling and maintenance instructions rather than moving it as though it were a dry decorative cabinet.

What care does the vapor system need?

Clean the tank, sump, transducer and air filter regularly using the component-specific methods in the manual. Keep the heater grille free of dust. Disconnect power and allow at least ten minutes for heater cooling before maintenance, and use authorized service for work beyond the described owner tasks.

OUR PRODUCT ASSESSMENT

Hearth Outpost Score

8.0/10

Mapleton suits someone who wants the presence of a small stove without adding a chimney or rebuilding a wall. The cast-iron front, door and top give it a more substantial character than a light decorative cabinet, while the vapor effect brings movement around the logs. We like the plug-in format and remote operation. The tradeoff is a water-care routine: choose a position where refilling and cleaning are convenient, not somewhere that makes the stove difficult to reach.

What stands out

A self-contained room feature

The stove format can work where a built-in firebox would need a new wall or surround. Its physical body and log arrangement remain part of the room even when the effect is switched off, which matters in a compact seating area.

Character without a flue project

The included log set and controlled vapor effect create atmosphere without burning fuel. Heat can be used separately from the visual effect, and the remote controls the experience from your seat. Any decorative flue collar is an appearance accessory rather than a working chimney.

What to weigh before buying

Water care is part of ownership

The tank, sump, nozzle and filter need the cleaning described in the manual. Leave room to reach them and use the specified water guidance. If you want an appliance you can largely ignore between uses, an LED-only stove or insert may be a better fit.

Placement still needs planning

A plug-in appliance is not permission to disregard clearances or power requirements. Select a suitable outlet and position before arranging furniture around it. Evaluate the heat as supplementary comfort, not the performance of a fuel-burning stove with a similar shape.

Value Consideration

Mapleton's strongest value is avoiding a built-in project while retaining a substantial stove appearance. Compare its complete cost with a conventional LED stove and decide how much the vapor effect matters to you. It is a more convincing choice for someone happy to maintain the water system than for someone seeking the least possible upkeep.
