Choose a Cover That Fits Your Exact Grill

Shop grill covers across all three brands

Find your cover in three steps

1. Record the full grill model. Photograph the rating plate and keep the model suffix. “500” or “30-inch” alone is not a compatibility check.
2. Identify the installation. A built-in head needs a different shape from a freestanding grill with a cabinet and side shelves. Note whether shelves remain raised or fold down under the cover.
3. Match the cover SKU and option. Compare the product’s named fit with your manual. For a product with several configurations, select the option before adding it to your cart.

Measure only after identifying the model. Dimensions are a useful cross-check, but a cover with enough overall width may still sit incorrectly around a side burner, shelf or handle. A photograph of a covered grill cannot establish compatibility.

Compare covers by brand and configuration

The AOG comparison illustrates why width is not enough: AOB30 and AOC30 both refer to 30-inch grills, yet cover different installations. Keep the grill’s installation type beside its model number when comparing options.

Features that matter after fit

Fastening: Think about how you will secure and remove the cover in its actual position. Napoleon’s GACV002 has adjustable straps beneath the shelves. Leave yourself access to them rather than positioning the grill so tightly that the fastenings become difficult to reach.

Airflow: GACV002 includes vents. Keep them free of leaves and debris; pulling a cover into a tight bundle around accessories defeats its intended shape. Water resistance does not mean that moisture can never collect underneath.

Handling and storage: Decide where the cover will go while you cook. A hook or dry storage location avoids putting the inside of the cover on soil, wet paving or a greasy worktop. Use the cover’s own cleaning instructions rather than a cleaner selected for the grill’s metal finish.

Before you cover the grill

Complete the appliance’s shutdown and care sequence, then allow it to cool and dry as its instructions require. Remove loose items that are not part of the intended covered configuration. Fit the cover without forcing it over handles or accessories, secure the supplied fastenings and check that it is seated evenly.

Common fit mistakes

Buying for the cooking-surface width. The grill’s headline size is not a measurement of the entire covered shape. Shelves, cabinets and built-in trim change what must be covered.

Using a familiar series name without checking the generation. Product families can have similarly named covers. Compare the cover part number to the exact grill documentation rather than relying on a search result title.

Forgetting accessories. A rotisserie component, shelf attachment or added work surface may change the configuration. Check whether it must be removed before covering; do not assume the cover accommodates it.

Ordering a built-in cover for a cart grill. The built-in option protects the exposed head. It does not substitute for a full cart cover.

Questions before ordering

Can I choose a universal cover instead?

Start with the manufacturer-matched option where available. If you consider a universal cover, you still need confirmed dimensions, configuration and the cover maker’s fit guidance. A close, manufacturer-approved fit helps keep the cover secure.

What if I cannot find the model?

Check the equipment paperwork and rating plate. Send Hearth Outpost customer care a model photo and a photo of the full grill, including its shelves and installation. Include the cover you are considering so the question can be resolved against a specific product.

Should I buy the cover with a new grill?

It is useful to select it while the full model and configuration are in front of you. Add the cover SKU to your equipment record, and revisit fit if you change the grill or its accessories.
