Prepare Your Outdoor Kitchen for a Seasonal Shutdown

List everything that remains outdoors

Include grills, refrigeration, beverage systems, sinks, fire features and heaters. Record the exact models and connected services. A kitchen may contain appliances with different environmental limits and different long-term storage requirements.

Make a shutdown schedule

Decide which jobs you will handle and which need your installer or service technician. Utility isolation, water-system work and appliance service should be performed by the appropriate qualified person where required; do not borrow a procedure from another appliance family.

Complete care before covering

Follow each appliance’s documented shutdown and cleaning sequence. Let equipment reach the state required by its instructions before fitting the correct cover. A cover is not a substitute for winterization, and outdoor rating is not permission to ignore environmental limits.

Keep track of what is ready for next season

Note what was done, by whom and on what date. Keep service invoices with the equipment record. Photograph existing condition for your own reference and flag anything that needs repair before the next season.

Plan reopening at the same time

Save the startup section of each manual with the shutdown notes. Record which components were removed or stored elsewhere. On reopening, use that model’s inspection and startup procedure rather than assuming that removing a cover returns everything to service.
