Keep the details for each appliance together
Record the brand, full manufacturer model, selected options, fuel or electrical configuration and product link. Add the manual title, revision and relevant diagram page. Keep overall dimensions separate from the required opening dimensions.

Get the right measurements before cutting

If you change an appliance, hinge direction or accessory, send the updated selection to your builder before work starts. Even a small change can affect how the kitchen fits together.
Check the moving parts
The refrigeration guide explains why door swing and front access belong on the plan. A cabinet elevation showing closed doors can miss a conflict between a refrigerator, an open drawer and the person standing in front of them.
Do the same for grill lids, side shelves, access doors and removable equipment. Ask how service personnel will reach or remove each appliance after the kitchen is finished. An enclosure that fits around the appliance is not necessarily serviceable.
Before you give your builder the go-ahead
- Your builder has the exact appliances and options you ordered.
- You have shared the installation drawings for those models.
- Your installer has checked ventilation, clearances, and gas or electrical connections.
- Door, drawer, lid and service movements have been checked.
- Any measurement questions are answered before cutting begins.
- Your builder and installer have the same up-to-date plans.
